The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is the largest and most successful horticultural event in the Southern Hemisphere. Each year in April, Melbourne’s centre becomes a celebration of the Australian lifestyle and a tribute to all things green.
First held in 1995, the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show has grown to become one of the top five events of its kind in the world. The show draws gardeners from all over Australia, including the country’s top floral and landscape designers.
Stunning floral and garden displays of all kinds are of offer, from rare and unusual plants to old Australian favourites, gardening tools to water tanks and outdoor furniture sets to floral art. Visitors get a glimpse of the latest new and innovative gardening ideas and products, and can enjoy an array of food stalls and lots of entertainment for the whole family.
The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show is held in collaboration with key industry bodies including NGIV, Flowers Victoria, the LIAV and AILA, and includes the active participation of leading Horticultural colleges and universities throughout Victoria and Australia.
